Start RegistrationOur youth climbing team offers a space for young climbers to grow their love for the climbing sport, community, and lifestyle through participation in youth competitive rock climbing.
Youth climbers between the ages 9-19 are eligible to join others their age to focus on mental, physical, and technical development in pursuit of their own rock climbing goals.
Our experienced coaches host inclusive, experiential tryouts each season which allow our youth climbers, parents and coaches to decide which of our two youth climbing teams is the best fit for each individual’s rock climbing goals.
Youth climbers are assigned to groups based on the climber’s experience, skill, and personal goals:
Youth climbers just getting started or with a focus on leveling up their climbing should plan to join this squad of advanced rock climbers.
The Advanced Team practices 2 times per week and is required to participate in 2 team competitions. Additional competitions are highly encouraged.
2x per week on Mondays & Saturdays
Experienced youth climbers with focus on strength and conditioning should plan to join the competition team as it prepares for USA Climbing (USAC) competitions.
The Competition Team practices 3 times per week with the expectation that all members of this team compete in all competitions available.
3x per week on Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays
Our mission is for youth to cultivate a love for the sport, community, and lifestyle of climbing through participation in youth competitive rock climbing.
We strive to foster an inclusive and supportive environment where every kid can explore their drive to climb and build the confidence needed to make it to the next level of their journey – inside or outside of these climbing walls.
Youth team climbing programs offer numerous benefits, including physical, mental, and social advantages.
Builds muscle strength, improve overall flexibility and balance, and hones fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Enhances cognitive abilities and critical thinking, fosters mental discipline, helps build mental toughness and resilience against fear and anxiety.
Requires clear communication, builds trust and a sense of camaraderie, and fosters leadership skills and cooperative behaviors.
Boosts self-confidence and sense of accomplishment, contributes to positive self-image, and fosters strong sense of perseverance.
Fosters lifelong appreciation of natural and social environments, instills sense of responsibility toward nature and one another, and offers opportunity to explore beyond the climbing walls.
