Summer Showdown Redpoint Climbing Competition

The Summer Showdown is a redpoint climbing competition open to the public and climbers of all skill levels!

$15 for Members | $30 for Non-Members
Registration is required. Spots are limited.
DETAILS
Redpoint Round: 3-5:30PM
Participants will have 2.5 hours to climb together and score your total climbs..
Points are associated with the difficulty of the climb. 100 points is allocated to each grade number, and one point will be deducted from each attempt, your TOP 5 sends will be counted towards your score. A scoresheet will be handed out to participants prior to the competition. Tops and zones will be included in the redpoint round.
OPEN Finals: 6:30-7:30PM
The top 5 finalists within the Open categories for each gender division will compete during finals for podium.
The Summer Showdown will have four grade categories and two gender divisions. For participants over the age of 38, we will have an additional “Masters” category.
Grade Categories
- Beginner (V1-3)
- Intermediate (V3-5)
- Advance (V5-7)
- Open (V8+)
- Grade categories reflect the grade you can typically send within 10 attempts.
- Masters (aged 38+)
- Optional
Divisions
- MTNB (male, trans, and non-binary)
- WTNB (female, trans, and non-binary)
- Masters (aged 38+, no gendered divisions)
- Optional* Participants aged over 38 can also opt for a grade category
Registration is required in advance. Day use is included in the competition fee pricing.
Tentative Competition Itinerary
2:45PM: Rules Meeting
3-5:30PM: Redpoint Qualifying Round
6PM: Finalist Announcements and Awards (Beg, Int, Adv, Masters)
6:30PM: OPEN Finals (Awards to follow)
